I Didn’t Know that God is an informational website about the power of God in your life. Most of us grew up not knowing that God can… and will do… miracles in our lives. Somehow we’ve relegated God’s power to the parting of the Red Sea, or Jesus healing the blind beggar, or other ancient miracles.
But the Bible tells us in Heb 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” That tells us that since God doesn’t change, He is still interested in protecting us, healing us, and prospering us.
You see, sometimes God’s Word gets distorted. An example of this is the saying, “Money is the root of all evil.” The Bible actually says, “The love of money is the root of all evil.” And there is a significant difference between the two. Money is not evil, it’s neutral. Money can be used for good or evil. But it’s the love of that money that gets us in trouble. And there are many more misconceptions about God and how He relates to His creation.
The Bible says in 3 John 2 says, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” (NKJ). And Jeremiah 29:11-12 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”(NIV). These two Scriptures make it clear that God’s plans are to prosper us and not to harm us. There are many more Scriptures that describe how God feels towards His creation. We are His children and He loves His kids.
You may not know that God can heal your marriage, or your body, or your broken heart. He not only can, but He will.
