Did You Know That God CAN Fill Your Emptiness?
Most people carry around a form of emptiness inside of them. This emptiness is the result of nagging, unanswered questions and the empty, haunting sense that life has no meaning. Why is there so much suffering in the world? Why do I exist? Or the emptiness can be caused by hurt, which can be the result divorce, or abuse. Whatever the cause, we go searching to find something to fill the void.
There is a saying is science, "Nature abhors a vacuum." That means that nature will always fill "emptiness." For example, if you pump the air out of a bottle, and then seal it, there will be a vacuum inside the bottle. However, the instant you break the seal, air will rush in filling the void inside the bottle.
The same is true of us humans. We will try to fill the emptiness in us with anything that will ease the pain. Unfortunately, it usually involves alcohol, drugs or sex. There is something in us that needs to fill that void within us.
But, God is the only One who can fill your void. John 4:13-14 (AMP) say, "Jesus answered her, all who drink of this water will be thirsty again. Butwhoever takes a drink of the water that I will give him shall never, no never, be thirsty anymore. But the water that I will give him shall become a spring of water."
There is nothing that can satisfy a person like Jesus can. Only He can completely fulfill and satisfy the longing in your soul.
Did you know that God created man in such a way that all of us have a place on the inside of us that is reserved just for God? And nothing else can fill that spot. Nothing else can satisfy your emptiness but God.
